Car Of The Week: Honda Amaze

Exterior

Being a sub-4 meter sedan, the engineers are successful in bringing the ‘smart’ theme into the car. The front looks similar to Brio, except in the design of the chrome grills. Also the bumper comes in a body coloured tone unlike the black insertions in Brio. The most noted character is unlike some ‘boot-welded’ hatchbacks, the boot of Amaze seamlessly integrates with the body without any hustle. The rear portion of the car, with a band of chrome above the boot lid gives a classy look for the vehicle. Overall, it is an eye catcher.

Interior

Eventhough the comfort features vary across the petrol and diesel variants, interiors of the car is impressive with quality of plastic and fabric being top in the class. By the extended boot and limiting space of engine cabin, car has made ample use of most of the space in leg rooms and thigh support. 5 people could easily fit into the car and with a 400 litre boot capacity, none of your luggage will surely grab the passenger space.

Pricing

The entry level sedan qualifies for the excise duty benefit, enjoyed by small cars in India. The base diesel variant costs 5.99 lakh going all the way upto 7.6 lakh.
