Don 2 The much awaited and hyped movie of 2011 finally hit the theatres on Christmas. With Don 2, SRK registers his name in the list of actor as well as producer for Don 2. Don 2 had a good opening with an 80 percent occupancy levels all over India. In multiplexes occupancy stood at 80-85 percent and in single screens it stood at 70-75 percent. On the first day, the film collected 14.77 crore ($2.81 million) net from its Hindi version and 53 lakh ($100,000) net from the Tamil and Telugu versions and became the third highest opening day grosser. As of now the Hindi version has earned net total to 69.06 crore ($13.12 million). Several records were created by the movie on the opening day overseas. The film grossed $550,000 from 164 theaters in the United States and beat My Name Is Khan which opened to $445,000. In the United Kingdom the film collected $527,000 in three days from 76 theaters.
