Rockstar "Sadda Haq" turned out as an anthem for youth as soon the music of the movie was launched. The created ripples all over. Though the movie was declared as a semi-hit, it brought along compliments for Ranbir. Rockstar saw a very good opening with good response at multiplexes with collections averaging in the 60-70 percent range, but single screens observed a lower capacity at around 30-40 percent. Rockstar collected 10 crore ($1.9 million) nett on its opening day, thus becoming the second highest opener after Ready in the non-festival season. The film grossed 67.49 crore ($12.82 million) nett. It managed to gross $1.65 million from all overseas markets, which was termed below the mark. The film collected 1,85,000 pounds in UK, $6,12,000 in North America, $1,00,000 in Australia and $3,70,000 in UAE.
