This couple seemed to be in relationship for a long time and people loved the chemistry they had, so everybody really wanted their relationship to work 0ut and end happily. They had a good business partnership and that made people support their relationship and marked it as one that would result in marriage. It seems that Ness left Preity because of a condition - marry me and quit acting altogether. That's how it ended as a break up.
