Tampering With Privacy Policies

tampering, facebook, privacy policy, grouponFacebook and Groupon created uproar among their customers when they decided to change the terms of privacy.  Groupon announced its plans to change its privacy policy in order to collect more information about users in order to share with its business partners.  It e-mailed an estimated 83 million of its subscribers about its plans to change the privacy policy. The announcement came in while the company was planning to file for an IPO and launch its mobile service Groupon Now.  Facebook has been in news for playing around with the privacy policies every now and then. The site’s notoriety was in limelight when a so-called security glitch saw its founder Mark Zuckerberg’s photographs visible to all the users. Apart from the privacy glitches, Facebook made changes to its geo-location settings, tagging features, and inline controls, which made the users wondering if Facebook was intending to take them on a roller coaster ride.
