During the proceedings of the case it has come to light that Apple’s co-founder Steve Jobs was amenable towards the idea of going ahead with a smaller 7-inch version of the iPad. Eddy Cue has admitted that he had sent a mail to Jobs durnf the launch of iPad stating that the market is open to a smaller version of the tablet and that Apple should go ahead making one.
However, Steve Jobs had always condemned the introduction of 7-inch tablets saying that Apple cannot incorporate this as the smaller screen size would hinder the company to express its software completely. He believed that introducing 7-inch tablets would mean that Apple will have to compromise with some of the features that its software provides and this was unacceptable to him.
