Amazon Appstore For Android To Debut In India Soon

The decision by Amazon to list India for its Appstore has also ignited the possibility of launching its Kindle devices in the subcontinent soon.

Amazon is trying its bag of tricks to make its Appstore as famous as the Google Play itself. “We launched our Kindle Fire version of Peppa Pig in January 2013 and within a couple of weeks we saw the sales on Kindle Fire overtake Google Play to a factor of four or five times,” Peter Sleeman, Director, P2 Games Limited is quoted as saying.

If the IDC (International Data Corporation) report is to be considered, Kindle is at number three in top five tablet vendor list in the world. With Amazon’s decision to expand Appstore across the world, one can see it directly affecting the overall sales of Kindle tablets.
