Absurd Immigration Policy: Indian Entrepreneurs Prefer Home Over U.S.

The Story on the Other Side

1. 72 percent of Indian entrepreneurs who had left the United States said that the opportunities to start their own business were better in India than in the United States.

2. For Chinese entrepreneurs the rate is 81 percent.

3. About 75 percent of Chinese students and 86 percent of Indian students believe that their home countries' economies will improve in a few years making them easy to do business. On the other hand, only 7 percent of Chinese and 25 percent of Indian students feel that for the U.S. economy.

4. The immigrants not only come back with a prestigious degree but with an entrepreneurial mindset too, which improves their risk taking capabilities.

The time is nearing when, even if these immigration policies are reformed, Asian entrepreneurs will still prefer their home countries to establish a business.

The U.S. government must realise this soon before monopoly on entrepreneurship is over and they see the next Steve Jobs from India or China.
