PUNE: Pune based Zensar Technologies Ltd, and its Japanese partner Nomura Research Institute have moved on to the next phase of their software migration solution to transfer legacy systems to the open source platform.

Nomura said the next phase, which was discussed in Japan, spans 18 months and is worth over $10 million to Zensar. The software migration solution is called `Sitar' (Solution Initiative for Transformation and Re-engineering).

Nomura’s Corporate-Vice President, Ishibashi, said, "This relationship with Zensar is very strategic to Nomura Research Institute in achieving the leadership space in the application modernization migration market in Japan. The last one year of pilot implementation has helped both parties achieve the process maturity required for the Japanese market." The Zensar team is currently handling NRI’s internal projects.
