PUNE: Zensar Technologies, a software and BPO services provider, has reported a 16 percent increase in its revenues with consolidated revenues of $2.25 million for the second quarter of the current financial year, as against $1.95 million during the corresponding period previous year.

The company managed to report a consolidated profit before taxes of $0.14 million for the quarter and profit after taxes of $0.1 million despite new investments and salary hike. The company's Chairman and Managing Director, Ganesh Natarajan said that the investment in future technology and new services such as testing services, infrastructure management, knowledge process outsourcing (KPO), and embedded systems had been driving the growth.

"Our application portfolio management and ERP, based on mature processes and models, continue to show steady revenue and profit growth. Both the new business units, engaged in innovative technology solutions (ITS) and BPO respectively, are on track to be profitable by end of the year as planned," Natarajan added.
