Will 'Dell Streak Pro' tablet hit the right cord?

Bangalore: Dell is gearing up to introduce another tablet 'Dell Streak Pro' after the sluggish business of 5-inch streak and streak 7. The new Dell 10-inch Honeycomb tablet has features that can give a tough competition to Samsung Galaxy . Last we heard from the Dell Streak Pro, it had only some of its specifications leak out. Now we bring some more new information about Dell's upcoming tablet. Streak 5 launched with android 1.6 could not pick up the tablet market ever since it was introduced. Its failure to be upgraded to android 2.2 till November 2010 was a further blow to its declining business. It was available at 34, 990. On the other hand streak 7 was a 7 inch tablet with dual-core processor and available at just 9000, was launched in February. However, its weak viewing angles, a meager 800-by-480 resolution display and four hours of battery life did not quite impress the consumers. The new Dell streak pro is said to feature a 1280-by-800 resolution display with 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16/32/64 GB built-in storage options, a microSDHC card slot, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, optional 4G LTE (on AT&T's network). The tablet has amazing 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera for video chatting purposes. The battery life on this 10-inch Android 3.x Honeycomb tablet will be 12 hours. In the era of tablets, Dell wants to make the full utilization of the increasing demand for it; however, it maintains that tablets are far from replacing desktop computers, especially in the workplace. The tablet is still seen as a third device and is neither going to replace the smartphone nor PC's. The Dell Streak Pro is reported to be available in the market by June; however, the price of the product has not been finalized yet.
