U.S. Indian in UNDC board of directors

New York: Andy Keshav Shenoy, notable New York Businessman and President of Trivision Group, an IT solutions company, was appointed to the board of directors of the United Nations Development Corporation (UNDC), a body created by the State and City of New York to deal with real estate needs of the international body, reports Ela Dutt of Desi Talk. Shenoy, who has been active in U.S Indian community affairs for more than two decades, was appointed to the position by the outgoing governor David Paterson. The organization was initiated in 1968 to endow with office and other facilities that help meet the current and future needs of the United Nations community including its various missions and programs. Shenoy is also the President of Indo-American Promotion - a non-profit organization. In 2005, he received the Governor's award of excellence for contributions to the social, economic and cultural development of New York. He also served as the South Asian Affairs advisor to former Gov. George Pataki. He is currently on the board of the Hugh L. Carey Battery Park City Authority, and on the state advisory board of tourism. In Oct. 2009, he was part of the business delegation that accompanies New York lawmakers on a trade mission to China.
