Thiruvananthapuram: UAE's national carrier Etihad Airways is all set to expand its services to India with the launch of two new routes from Abu Dhabi to Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi in Kerala. Etihad Airways will begin flight operations from Abu Dhabi to the city May 31 and to Kochi June 3, said Neerja Bhatia, Etihad's area manager (Western and Southern India). "We will have full-fledged offices in both the cities of Kerala, but at the moment, it is not decided on the type of aircraft to be run," said Bhatia, who is in the capital city meeting leading players in the air travel industry. To start with, Etihad flights to Thiruvananthapuram will be thrice a week while the Kochi service will be four times a week. With the launch of two new routes, Etihad's destinations in India go up to four together with services to Mumbai and New Delhi.
