Google will be promoting the Google Chrome OS (browser based OS) through its Chromebook (Chrome OS based Laptops) . Pichai explained plans on bringing the Chromebooks to the next level by pushing it to the educational institutions, a step he called as a “leading indicator.”

Google’s plans with Chrome could be a big concern for Microsoft, as in the future, if Chrome OS gets much better and starts shipping as a complete Operating System in products, it could eventually someday make a cut in Microsoft’s Windows business.
