Mumbai: Maintaining Indian IT industry's growth story, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has registered a surge of 41 percent in its total revenue at $4.3 billion in fiscal 2006-07, with net income up 42 percent at $969 million, the company announced Monday.

During the last quarter of 2006-07, the IT major earned revenues to the tune of $1.2 billion and added 43 new clients. It also bagged two deals worth $35 million and $50 million during the quarter.

"TCS' robust business model using our full-services play and global network delivery model has given us the position to capitalize from the strong demand environment that exists globally," said TCS managing director and CEO S. Ramadorai.

"Our emerging high-growth services are giving the company a superior quality of revenue and a diversified customer base across markets and verticals. The significant number of large wins in FY07 that will ramp up during the next fiscal year makes us confident of continuing sustained, profitable growth," he added.
