Software Quality Center announces growth plans

BANGALORE: Bangalore based Software Quality Center (SQC), a culture change management company Friday announced the opening of its overseas offices and CMMI services for Systems organisations. SQC's focus is now more on "Systems" organizations in the region with software included in the products that they build. "Typically systems organizations have not been aware of how models like Systems Engg - CMM (SE-CMM) and CMM-I could help them. They have never been promoted as well", says Krishnan Puthucode, Director and SEI Authorized SCAMPI and CBA IPI Lead Appraiser. "There are a lot of benefits that organizations that build systems inclusive of software will get from implementing CMM-I," he adds. SQC India offers high-end consulting, Change mentoring, world-class training and assessments against CMM and CMM-I models and was set up to foster a paradigm of organizational change. SQC India provides consulting, training and Appraisals to all types and sizes of systems and software organizations in setting up the right measurements both on the product and process areas and helps to measure the benefits of model based improvement over time. Founded in Boston, USA, with Bangalore as the headquarters and Chennai branch in India, SQC has recently announced offices in Canada and Philippines and associate network in South East Asia including China, Taiwan and Singapore and in the Middle East. SQC is equipped with two SEI Authorized Appraisers for SCAMPI (CMM-I Assessments) and five for CMM-Based Appraisals apart from the consulting team. The growth targets and plans are indicative of a 30% growth in quarterly turnover with a minimum of about 12 new customers from all parts of the world added every two quarters.
