NEW DELHI: Satyam Computer Services Ltd., one of India's leading software solutions companies, Wednesday announced a strategic partnership with U.S.-based Commerce One Inc. to develop new software solutions.

As part of the agreement between the two companies, Satyam will integrate its supply chain solutions with Commerce One's technology to help customers modify supply chain activities, said a Satyam statement issued here.

Satyam, India's fourth-largest software services exporter, has been working with TRW, a Commerce One customer that designs and makes products for the automotive, aerospace and IT sectors.

"Using Commerce One technology, we have helped TRW integrate its complex supply chain," said F.S. Mohan Eddy, director (collaborative enterprise solutions) of Satyam Computer Services.

"TRW has automated its sourcing and procurement process across 14 different locations worldwide, and vastly improved customer response time and employee productivity," Eddy said.
