SAP appoints Georg Kniese as Joint Managing Director

BANGALORE: SAP Labs India today appointed Georg Kniese as Joint Managing Director. Based in Bangalore, Georg will oversee the research and development activities at SAP Labs India with current Joint Managing Director Martin Prinz. Georg succeeds Clas Neumann, who has been promoted to a global role as Senior Vice President of one of SAP’s key global business units. Georg joined SAP AG in 2002 as Global SAP Labs Coordinator and was responsible for driving the focus of the nine international development locations of SAP across the globe. These development centres represent one third of SAP’s overall development workforce. Prior to joining SAP AG, Georg has held positions with the Boston Consulting Group, Switzerland and with Procter & Gamble, Switzerland. Georg holds a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, with majors in Finance, Operations Research and Information Technology.
