Ranbaxy gets USFDA nod to sell BP drug

NEW DELHI: India’s biggest pharma company Ranbaxy Laboratories has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s approval for selling Benazepril Hydrochloride and Hydroclorothiazide, a high blood pressure drug in the U.S. market Ranbaxy had got tentative approval for the drug in 2004 for various dosage forms from five mg to 25 mg. The company had yesterday announced the setting up of its subsidiary in Italy to gain further foothold in the European market.
