Rakesh Soni, appointed COO of Mahindra Satyam
Bangalore: Mahindra Satyam, the rebranded software firm acquired by Tech Mahindra appointed Rakesh Soni as Chief Operating Officer (COO). As COO, Soni will head the integration of the two companies as well as head the Banking, Financial services and Insurance (BFSI), emerging verticals and Strategic accounts divisions. Former chief executive officer of Tech Mahindra, A.S. Murthy was named Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Murthy will also lead engineering, consulting and infrastructure management services. Last week, the company had appointed C. P. Gurnani as the CEO, previously Tech Mahindra's head of international operations and S. Durgashanker as the CFO. Mahindra Satyam is also integrating its sales and delivery wings to strengthen industry verticals. "This model is expected to increase account focus and responsiveness, reduce overheads, and improve customer delight. The new structure was aimed at simplifying the organization design in line with the proposed business plans and eliminates duplication in roles," company said.
