Quest sees India to become defining market by 2011
Bangalore: "To get success in India is difficult, but with the help of planned strategies and real demonstration with partners, we hope to become one of the top software companies by 2011," said Amit Parikh, Manager, Systems Consulting, Quest Software.

After entering the Indian market in 2007, quest spent heavily in Indian market with considering it as one of the strongest prospects of the company. Parikh said, "We were little late in entering to the Indian market, but with strong relations with resellers, we have positioned ourselves strongly and aim 2011 as the exiting year for the company." Also, considering India to be a big R&D center, Quest has been spending heavily on its R&D sector. 60 percent of its employees work in R&D sector. The company is mainly built on four business units - database management, application management, windows management and virtualization management.

Recently, after seeing the current economic environment which leaves no room for error, Quest launched Toad for Oracle v10. The company claims that it has some new features and many enhancements to existing features, all of it designed to augment users' workflow and to enable them to get their job done more productively, more accurately and with better visibility of the environment in which they work - whether users are developers working in an unfamiliar database or DBAs trying to manage multiple databases. Today, the volume of data is not letting up and developers are often forced to do more in less time with less help. Parekh, who seems to be mastermind behind Toad for Oracle v10, said, "Toad for Oracle is a comprehensive database tool for development and administration that enables users to perform daily tasks efficiently and accurately. It gives developers the power to not only build great code and prevent costly coding errors, but also simplifies the management and maintenance their Oracle databases."

Quest Software delivers products that help organizations to get more performance and productivity from their applications, databases and Windows infrastructure. It claims that through a deep expertise in IT operations and a continued focus on what works best, Quest helps more than 18,000 customers worldwide to meet higher expectations for enterprise IT.
