Perot Systems gets BS 7799 certification

CHENNAI: The business process solution center of Perot Systems in the city has received the BS 7799-2:2002 IT Security certification.

The award received on May 17 further expanded Perot Systems' record of numerous top-level quality and information security management certifications for all its operations in India, a release here said today.

''Information security and compliance are key components of Perot Systems' global delivery of BPO services from our Chennai centers,'' Perot Systems Business Process Solutions Group Head Anurag Jain said.

All of Perot Systems' India operations are now ISO 9001:2000 and BS 7799 certified. In addition, the company's Technology Services unit at Bangalore and Noida achieved CMMI Level 5 in 2003 and People CMM Level 5 and BS 7799 in 2004.

This latest BS 7799 certification covered the people, processes, technology and facilities associated with information security management delivered from its three facilities in Chennai.
