Opto Circuits India buys U.S.-based Unetixs
New Delhi: Opto Circuits India, a developer and maker of patient monitoring systems, has fully acquired US-based Unetixs Vascular for $9.7 million (about 45 crore) in cash.

Unetixs Vascular is a specialist in detection of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and the acquisition will give Opto Circuits India's (OCI) access to USFDA-approved non- invasive equipment for diagnosis of vascular diseases, the company said in a statement.

OCI will fund the acquisitions through internal accruals, it said, adding that the US-based firm has a line of USFDA-approved vascular systems and accessories.

Unetixs equipment for early detection of PAD greatly enhances the chances of successful treatment and management of the problem, it said.

"Access to the state-of-the art PAD technology of Unetixs Vascular is a key milestone for Opto.
