MUMBAI: Exactly a month from now Latino music sensation Enrique Iglesias will be visiting India, singing, dancing and even interacting with millions of fans. Amar Deb, head honcho of Channel V, announced the "Enrique Iglesias Live - The Seven Tour" here. Enrique will set the stage on fire in Mumbai April 11 and two days later on April 13 in Bangalore. The tickets at the Bangalore show will be priced at 900 and 600 while in Mumbai it will cost 1,200 and 800 respectively. "The fee structure has always been a big issue with event organisers as Mumbai has the highest entertainment tax of 25 percent on each ticket as compared to 10 percent in Bangalore," Venkat Vardhan, managing director of DNA Networks, one of the organisers, told IANS. "For the first time, we will have an interactive show where we will have three different stages so Enrique can move around and interact with his fans," Vardhan told IANS. The Latino sensation will be accompanied by a multiethnic 10-piece band consisting of percussion, guitars, bass, keyboards and vocalists. A 40-member technical entourage will enhance the state-of-the-art production. Enrique is also being accompanied by his video director, who will mix live images of the attending audience and of the performance that will be screened on giant screens. According to Rajat Kakkar, managing director of Universal Music, Enrique's popularity is reflected by the success of his two English albums "Enrique" and "Escape", which have sold over 250,000 copies each. "He is not only a great singer but a great performer and that's why each of his albums is highly anticipated. We will be releasing a special album, '7 - The Special Tour Edition", on March 20 to coincide with the India tour," Kakkar said. Enrique, who will be flying to India in his private jet, will be accompanied by over 6,000 kilos of theatrical effects, including stage ramps that will project into the audience to blend the artiste with his fans. Vijay Mallya is one of the main sponsors of the tour.
