Mehdi Hassan's sons light up Eid Event

Chicago: A delicious meal, soulful music and undated crowd lit up the Eid Milan dinner at Monty's Banquets in Bensenville and made it an unforgettable affair, reports Desi Talk.
The highlight of the evening was a performance Kamran and Imran Mehdi Hassan, sons of the legendary ghazal singer Ustad Mehdi Hassan. More than 400 guests attended the event which was sponsored by Masood Ali of Ali Catering, Chicago.
The concert opened with the brothers playing "Bhooli Bisri Ummeeden", which was followed by their other numbers such as "Ek Khalish Ko" and "Dil Tadpata Hai." The closing number was "Go Zara Si Baat Par Barson Ke."The audience repeatedly demanded more as it swayed to the popular Sufi numbers, Aahat Si Koi Aye to Lagta Hai," "Jab Us Zulfi Ki Baat Chali" and other Mehdi Hassan numbers.
An array of nonvegetarian and vegetarian dishes was served at dinner. "It wasn't just the music that stole that evening, but also the audience who had extended their support to make this event a grand success," said Ali. "It was an evening where good food and great music wowed and won many hearts, till 3 a.m. in the morning."
