Vajpayee leaves for New York

NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee left for New York Monday on a week-long visit during which he will attend the U.N. General Assembly session and meet U.S. President George Bush. He will also hold talks with a dozen other leaders, including those of Afghanistan, Japan and South Africa, in New York. He returns to New Delhi on September 17
