Jaganathan Bharat co-founded ClariPhy garners $8M

IRVINE,CA: ClariPhy Communications Inc., a fabless semiconductor company has raised $8 million in Series A funding to help bring its 10-gigabit optical chips to market.
ClariPhy is well-funded by a strong alliance of venture capitalistsNorwest Venture Partners, ONSET Ventures, Allegis Capitalwho have a history of successful investments in networking and semiconductor companies.
ClariPhys initial products, which target 10-Gbit/s optical networks in the enterprise market, significantly lower the cost of 10-Gbit/s optical modules while enabling the reuse of the large installed base of multi-mode fiber (MMF). As a result, these products will enable enterprise network users to seamlessly and cost-effectively upgrade their MMF infrastructure to 10 Gbit/s.
The company is located in South Orange County, California.
