India's leather goods export set to cross $363 M

KOLKATA: India's leather goods export is set to cross $363.5 million with the eastern region having a share of 65 percent. The eastern region's export of leather goods included ladies bags, handbags, luggage bags and small accessories, President of Indian Leather Products Association (ILPA), Tapan Nandi said. Apart from the U.S., Canada and Europe, ILPA, he said, was exploring new markets in South American countries like Brazil, Peru and also Eastern Europe. With this object, ILPA was participating in a leather fair in Ukraine in September.
