Hindu Society of Montana State University Organized a Lecture
Fremont: Hindu Society of Montana State University - Bozeman (BHS) organized a lecture on 'Where does a Hindu compass point,' in order to make the citizens realize that Hinduism has solutions to offer. The lecture was conducted on 21 September 2011. BHS not only provides a platform for but also for Hinduism and its other associated religions like Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism. The newly appointed International Coordinator of Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh 'Saumitra Gokhale' was the speaker for the lecture that was attended by several undergraduate and graduate students, faculty members, and staff. This lecture made the audience realize how powerful Integral Humanism philosophy of Hinduism is. The objectives of BHS includes, 'To promote awareness and understanding of Hinduism and its associated religions and cultures at the Montana State University-Bozeman and in Montana, to provide a platform for Hindu culture followers to celebrate religious festivities, to do Sewa (Community service) and discourse of religious scriptures like the Bhagwad Gita, Ramayana, Upnishadas, Guru Granth Sahib, Buddhavachana, Kalpasutra, to collaborate with like minded organizations to further the society's mission, to represent as a 'Hindu' religion organization at various educational and religious functions, to organize public lecture series of saints and Hindu scholars.'
