Ra.One SRK takes the liberty to come up with different subject under his own production house. The Kahn went crazy to promote and market his movie. The fascinating subject and the "Chammak Challo" girl Kareena managed to pull the crowd to the theatres. With an estimated budget of 125 crore ($23.75 million),Ra.One curved out to be the second-most expensive film ever produced in Indian cinema, following Enthiran (2010). Adding to it, an estimated 52 crore ($9.88 million) was splurged on marketing through various partnerships, which set the record for the largest marketing budget in India. 10 crore ($1.9 million) were spent by Red Chillies Entertainment, while the other costs were covered by partners like McDonald's associated with the Ra.One Brand. The movie was premiered in Dubai, Toronto and London during October. The film released across 3,100 screens in India and 904 prints overseas in both 2D and 3D. Dubbed in Tamil and Telegu, it turned out to be the largest Indian cinematic release in the world. However, the film's box office performance was expressed as "average" by trade pundits. According to its distributors, Ra.One is the second highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide. It earned 240 crore ($45.6 million) from all its versions.
