HP opens new Testing Lab at its GDAS India Center

Bangalore: HP has announced the opening of a new Testing Lab at its Global Delivery Application Services (GDAS) India Center. "Testing and Quality Assurance Services have gained credence as an independent service, delivered within an integrated project ecosystem. What this means is that testing has a fair degree of autonomy to ensure high delivery quality, without jeopardizing the Project Management framework for the overall service delivery." said Gopikrishna Madle, Testing Practice Head at GDAS India Cluster. HP has significant assets in terms of IP, methodology, track record and installed bases in order to capitalize on the market opportunity for Testing and Quality Assurance services. The Testing Lab will develop differentiating IP for Custom and Package Applications that would give HP�s customers advantages in terms of lower TCO and reduced cycle time. Apart from offering a new breed of services like Outsourced Testing Factory and Testing on an ASP model, the lab provides a platform for continuous training and certification of its resources on tools, methodologies and the best practices in application testing. It also support HP's sales and marketing efforts through the development of Proof-of-concept, pilot projects, demonstrations and related pre-sales activities "With quality products that cater to diverse Testing and Quality Assurance needs, HP today has a majority market share in the software testing products market. HP's Global Delivery Application Services (GDAS) organization, on the other hand, brings experience in Testing and Quality Assurance service delivery.
