Grammy nomination for yet another U.S. Indian artist

New York: Following the Grammy nominations for Chandrika Tandon and Vijay Iyer for the 53rd Grammy Awards, yet another U.S. Indian artist gets nod from Grammy for his album. The album featuring Indian Tabla artist Sandeep Das, has won a Grammy nomination in the "Best Classical Crossover album," reports India Tribune. Das, one of the prominent artists from India, features in Sulvasutra, which is about the creation of the world. The piece was specially written for Das by a commission of Carnegie Hall. The artist has been working with Silk Road ensemble and multiple Grammy-winning cellists Yo-Yo Ma for the past 10 years. His previous album The Rain was also nominated for Grammy in 2004.
