Gontermann-Peipers appoints Sushil Ray as Director

New Delhi: Kolkata-based Gontermann-Peipers India (GPI) has appointed Sushil Ray as Director, Marketing and Technical Services. Ray, a metallurgical engineering graduate from IIT Kanpur, has over three decades of experience in the segment, the company said in a statement released here on Thursday. "Ray will lead the integration of GPI's local and international marketing strategies, including the development of a new range of products within the cast and forged rolls industry," the statement said. The appointment will strengthen the company's commitment to superior customer service and deliver customised rolls, both in the domestic and international markets, said the GPI Managing Director, Lalit Poddar. Gontermann-Peipers India, which holds 40 percent market share in the Indian roll industry and has a capacity to manufacture 15,000 tonnes of rolls annually with the ability to produce a single roll of up to 50 tonnes.
