Former Battery Ventures partner Mohan launches new fund

Ravi Mohan, a former general partner with Battery Ventures, has joined hands with two other Silicon Valley VCs to launch Shasta Ventures, a new "early-stage venture capital firm focused on Information Technology". Prior to Battery, Mohan was an associate with McKinsey & Company. He also ran Mohan-Iyer Consultants (MIC), a systems integration firm based in India, from 1991 to 1994. He has also worked at Accenture Consulting and Hyperion Software. He earned a BS in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Michigan Business School.
