E.U.'s trade with India on the rise

BRUSSELS: Latest figures reveal the rise of trade between Indian and the European Union.

According to the first estimates released by Eurostat, the E.U's statistics bureau, the 25-member European Bloc exported 19 billion euro worth of goods to India from January-November 2005, registering a growth of 24 percent over the same period in 2004.

Consequently, the E.U. imported 17.3 billion euro in goods from India, an increase of 17 percent over the same period in 2004, according to INEP agency.
