Bangalore: EMC Corporation further extended its collaboration with Cisco by jointly launching their Cloud Experience Centers in Bangalore. This is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between two information technology (IT) industry biggies with the twin facilities located at the EMC Center of Excellence and at the Cisco Globalization Center East, creating a lab that enables the Indian customers to experience the benefits and reliability of cloud-based IT infrastructure.

The twin Cloud Experience Centers aim to accelerate customers' transition to an agile cloud-based infrastructure by enabling proof-of-concepts and helping them experience innovative solutions to some of their critical business challenges.

Commenting on the opening of the lab, Manoj Chugh, President, EMC India and SAARC, said,"While Cloud Computing is a huge buzzword in technology, adoption is taking its time as CIOs are seeking the reassurance that cloud computing infrastructures are reliable, scalable, and secure. The labs established in Bangalore by EMC and Cisco is a live test bed for customers to come in and validate their business cases in a live environment."

Naresh Wadhwa, President and Country Manager, Cisco India & SAARC said, "Our approach to cloud computing is to maximize customer choice and industry innovation, so our partnership with EMC reinforces our commitment to help customers accelerate adoption of this phenomenal trend in IT. The cloud experience centers in Bangalore will help customers address their concerns related to cloud deployment and evolve their business thereby helping drive greater business impact."

These centers showcase the cloud-based services using pre-engineered, pre-integrated and validated vBlock infrastructure package. It also offers multi-tenancy capabilities to serve multiple clients (tenants), which increases operational efficiency. Virtualisation Experience Infrastructure (VXI) demonstrates the delivery of any application to any device in any workplace environment through access of virtualized desktops. Furthermore, EMC and Cisco will work together to engineer solutions for the Indian market.
