Cognizant Technology net jumps 51%

CHENNAI: Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation has recorded a 51 percent increase in net profit and a 53 percent increase in revenues for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 over the previous corresponding quarter.
The company had a net profit of $36 million on revenues of $211.7 million in the quarter under review against a net profit of $23.8 million on revenues of $138.7 million for the same period last year. A company release said Cognizant anticipated third quarter 2005 revenues at $232 million and fiscal 2005 revenue to be at least $876 million.
