CHANDIGARH: A Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) agricultural delegation will visit Canada in November to promote trade between India and the North American country.

"Post-harvest technologies, food processing, agri-biotechnology and process technologies will be the prime focus areas during the visit," a CII spokesperson said here Friday.

The visit, November 17-21, has been organised in association with the Canadian High Commission.

With India's economic liberalisation having taken root, Canada's interest in Indian markets was on the rise, the CII spokesperson said.

"India ranks among the top 10 priority markets for the Canadian department of foreign affairs and international trade. Past visits to Canada have been quite successful with immense interest shown by the Canadian businessmen to cooperate with India," she added.
