Biocon to invest $25 Mn on research and development

New Delhi: Indian biotechnology firm Biocon Wednesday said they would spend $25.4 million in the current fiscal ending March 2008 towards strengthening its research and development. "We plan to invest 1 billion and it has already crossed the halfway mark," Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, managing director, told reporters here on the sidelines of Fortune Global Forum meet here.
