BHEL bags 170 mn order for Chennai Refinery

NEW DELHI: The state-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) has bagged a 170 million order to supply a compressor package for a refinery in Chennai. The refinery's capacity is being expanded from 6.5 million tonnes to 9.5 million tonnes at a cost of 23.60 billion. The order placed by the Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd. envisages the manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of a wet gas compressor along with drive motor and associated auxiliaries, a BHEL statement said Thursday.
