The models under production are both 11.6 inch version and 13.3 inch version and orders for 380000 machines packed with Intel's Sandy Bridge processors has been placed, which indicates that it is likely to arrive the market by July. The models are expected to be available at an introductory price of 44, 955 ($999). The MacBook Air will have 32-nanometer Sandy Bridge ultra-low-voltage Core i5 and Core i7 chips. These chips contain between 3 and 4 MB of Smart Cache and can support a theoretical 8GB of RAM. In the boom of tablets and Smartphone Apple still has not lost its charm for laptops and the euphoria among the people regarding MacBook Air surely affirms the fact.
