Apple's iOS5 unveiled

Bangalore: Apple unveiled its brand new operating system iOS 5 with host of new reformative features for its Mac and iPhones at 'Worldwide Developers Conference.' Apple's CEO, Steve Job revealed that in a nutshell, iOS5 will display features like photo editing at the time the photo is taken, group messaging, reminder lists and the ability to save Web articles for reading later. About 5,200 iOS developers were present in the conference.
Apple and Twitter have developed a very intimate association in order to enable its users to experience an easy way to tweet photos, maps, websites, articles and other items directly from within the iOS operating system. Users of iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch have deep fascination for Twitter and this deal between the two will definitely boost the business of both twitter and Apple as one can very conveniently use twitter login credentials to access apps and download them. It will also enable users to tweet images directly from the gallery. All one needs to do is while taking a photo, one needs to just tap the share button, choose Tweet, and one can automatically see a thumbnail and can also add their tweet.
The addition of iMessage might have been quite a shocker for wireless providers as it gets a substantial portion of its revenue from SMS plans. iMessage will allow unlimited text messages via Wi-Fi or 3G from one iOS device to another. It adds a notification which shows the other person is typing a reply. The Messages app allows users to send text, photos, videos, locations and contacts. iMessage will also support delivery receipts and option read receipts, along with secure encryption for text messages.
Apple's Safari browser will now offer a button next to the address bar to eliminate all the unnecessary stuff from the web page and present you with what matters the most - text. Hence Safari has been given a facelift in iOS 5. Safari has also been updated with additional tabs. The Mac Safari Reader will be available in the iOS version.
