BANGALORE: Infinite Computer Solutions, a global provider of high quality IT solutions, today announced its entry into the European market with the opening of a sales and marketing office in London. Infinite has appointed Aparna Challu as the Head of its European Operations, to spearhead the company's sales initiatives in this region. This is the company's first office in Europe and will initially focus on Western European markets in UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Scandinavia.

Upinder Zutshi, COO, Infinite Computer Solutions said, "The opening of the UK office demonstrates our belief in the potential for successful relationships in the growing European market. We will target sectors such as Utilities and BFSI as part of our growth plan, besides other verticals including Healthcare, Manufacturing and Retail. We expect our European operations to contribute 10-15% of Infinite's global revenues in the next fiscal year."

While the Sales and Marketing office in London will mark Infinite's European foray, the company plans to set up development facilities in the near future. This is in keeping with the company's business philosophy of global delivery while offering its European customers the options of near shore and offsite development.

Expanding on the company's strategy for Europe, Ms. Aparna Challu, Head of European Operations, Infinite Computer Solutions said, "Having reinforced our presence in the US and Asia, the next logical step was for us to expand into Europe. As part of our go-to-market strategy, we will have direct sales in the region and will also partner with local systems integrators."

According to a recent Gartner report, the United Kingdom is the largest and most mature market in Western Europe, representing 35% of the total European outsourcing market in 2004. It is estimated that by 2005, 30% of leading European businesses will include near shore or offshore in their business and IT plans, with the offshore contact centre and BPO industries representing the highest opportunities for growth.

One of the fastest growing IT companies in India, Infinite notched up a revenue of 323 crores in the financial year 2003-04, exceeding the set revenue target of RS.291 crores. The EBITDA for the financial year 2003-04 stood at 37 crores. This is a 33 per cent increase in revenue and a whopping 56 per cent increase in EBITDA as compared to the previous year.
