LululemonAthletica: Joining the cult of yoga
For a moment companies successfully attach themselves on to presented cults to earn strong consumer reliability and big profits. That's the way with fashionable yoga wear vendor LululemonAthletica. It has successfully rooted itself into the yoga world by allying with local yoga instructors, offering in-store classes and training and hiring sales people. LULU also offers appealing, high quality apparel made from special high-tech fabrics, for premium wear. Sales are up since 2007 despite the weak economy, and this company has doubled the chain of networks.
The chain also has one of the other features of a successful cult company: It's has branched out into other product lines, including apparel for biking and dance. Only the risk is that LULU‘s designs are not trademark, and its high-tech fabrics are not copyright-protected. This leaves the competitors to try duplicating LULU’s success and pinching market shares.
