Brian Scudamore
Brian Scudamore was an eighteen year old student of British Columbia University, when he bought his first pick-up truck for $700. This is when his junk removal company started off. He named his venture ‘Rubbish Boys’. He bunked classes and hired other students and gradually the business grew. Finally he left his studies in 1993 and officially registered the company as ‘The Rubbish Boys Disposal Service’. In 1998, the company name was changed to 1-800-GOT-JUNK. In 1999 they started franchising.
Currently the company has added more than 162 locations in U.S, Canada and Australia.

Sara Blakely, a graduate from Florida State University, while doing door to door selling of fax machines, felt need of a pantyhose without toes for the hot and humid conditions. She invested $5000 and spent six months in doing research to come up with a design of footloose pantyhose. Manufacturer Sam Kaplan produced the first 3000 pairs.

Steve Ells while working as a chef at Stars, noticed the popularity of tacos and burritos and decided to open a casual dining restaurant with a difference. He opened the first Chipotle in 1993 taking a loan from his father. In 1998, McDonalds bought stake in the company. In 2006 Chipotle went for its IPO. Now Chipotle has presence in U.S, U.K, Canada, France and Germany.
