5 Worst-Selling Cars in History

The Yugo GV:

The Yugo GV definitely makes it to the list. Its worst production year was 1991 with fewer than 4,000 models being sold.  It had the most disastrous design. But, the GV enjoyed some early success due to its low price. It flopped due to its design flaws and hence, wasn’t profitable. Further, it had engine issues, with the engine randomly getting overheated and stalled. The safety restraints broke and even the radio could fall out of the dashboard.

The Ford Edsel:

The Ford Edsel is another flopped car. Its worst production year was 1960 with 2848 models being sold. Ford produced the Edsel brand in the late 1950s in order to compete with GM's line of economical midsized cards. But, sadly Edsel never lived up to the hype that Ford created. Edsel's typical over-stylized bodies were criticized and called ugly. Three years after its launch, the brand was swept away as one of the biggest marketing failures in history.
