5 Must Know Facts about ISRO PSLV-C23 Launch


Dignitaries Present at the Launch:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu, space scientists and other invitees at Indian Space Research Organisation's rocket mission control room intently watched the rocket's upward flight with one-way ticket.

PM Modi, during the launch, said it was a 'privilege' to witness the event, and congratulated "our brilliant space scientists for a successful launch". This is the first space mission of the National Democratic Alliance government led by Modi.

ISRO Achievement:
So far, ISRO has launched 35 satellites from 19 countries around the globe- Algeria, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Singapore, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Turkey and United Kingdom, bringing a huge sum to the country as foreign exchange.
