Maneet Chauhan

Maneet Chauhan is the chief chef of Vermilion, a new restaurant in New York which offers the unique taste of Indian food with Latin American beat.

“To me food is like life – it’s all about evolution,” says Maneet, who is from Ludhiana. “My passion lies in creating new things. What I love about the job is there are no two days which are alike – I’m a glutton for challenges. I love the spices, blends and chilies which go into the food, and through researching and experimenting I come up with the menu’’, reports Lavina Melwani of Lassi with Lavina.

Chauhan completed her graduation from India’s top culinary and hotel management school, WelcomGroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration. She then went on to do internships in renowned hotels such as Taj Group, Oberoi Hotels and Le Meridian and also attended The Culinary Institute of America, a leading culinary school in U.S.
