Apple's Decision to sell the iPhone Through AT&T first
Five Controversial Wireless Business Ideas
In 2007, Apple decided to launch its iPhone with AT&T as its exclusive partner. Though there were rumors of the partnership to last over four years, the cap was dropped after the announcement by Verzion to launch an iPhone 4 model, which would be compatible on the CDMA network. Though AT&T tried to improve its network, the damage to its brand name was done. In February 2011, the iPhone 4 was made available on both Verzion and AT&T.
