The car derives its name from the Pinto horse and was launched in several versions over the year. However, it fell prey to controversies and was held responsible for being fire-prone because of its rear-mounted gas tank. These controversies were later shooed away mentioning the car as safe.

Year: 1989

Manufacturer: Chrysler and Maserati

TC was a ‘Q’ body based car that was jointly manufactured by Chrysler and Maserati. Scheduled to be launched in 1986, this car faced initial delays that did not go down well with the customers. Lack of style and performance hammered the last nail in its coffin.
